You.Are.Amazing.

As. you. are.
Stronger than you know.
More beautiful than you think.
Worthier than you believe.
More loved than you can ever imagine.
Passionate about making a difference.
Fiery when protecting those you love.
Learning. Growing. Not alone.
Warm. Giving. Generous.
Quirky. Sexy. Funny. Smart.
Flawed. Whole. Scared. Brave.
And so, so, so.much.more.

Be Strong. Be Confident. Be You.

I’m a freelance photographer.  This is my bestie Sarah and her fiance Mason.  They’re awesome and very much in love.  I really enjoy taking photos of them and sharing them because we just don’t see enough thick girls in loving photos, you know?  Society spends a lot of time telling us we’ll never be loved if we don’t have protruding hip bones, but that’s a stupid lie.  And while we all know it to be a lie, aren’t you just a little startled and then pleased every time you see a happy, curvaceous mother or girlfriend or wife in a photo WITH her kids or her mate?  I know I am.  It’s not featured enough in photography.  So I’m going to try.
Absolutely.. we need to spend more time ignoring what society thinks we should look like.
We all need to try, this is a excellent & cute start. Thanks!

I know I spent entirely too much time believing that no one would ever love me - I actually pushed people away because of these false beliefs.  I don’t want to do that anymore, and I don’t want anyone to do that to themselves.  We’re just as beautiful as anyone else!  Congratulations guys!

According to themI am a “plus size” ladygood thing I don’t care.
I was just reading Glamour’s most recent issue with the AH-MAZING Crystal Renn… she’s gorgeous! In her short snippet interview she was talking about how happy she was to see more curvier models on the runway, and I was glad she said that rather than “plus sized”… I mean really, who or what defines being a “plus”… what’s the plus? Plus what? Plus the fact that I am not a stick? Plus the fact that I refuse to spend my days worrying about a little roll here or there? Plus not being a size zero?! Where did that word come from.
Don’t get me wrong… I don’t encourage obesity. But I believe that a woman should be able to be my size and still feel and look gorgeous and FEEL genuinely as confident as someone who’s smaller. I think for a long time I always said to myself, “if only I was smaller, then I could….*fill in the blank*…”
I’m so glad God is allowing me to accept me for ME. I think higher self esteem is something I pray for all my sisters to gain from Christ. We should never let these standards set around us be OUR standard.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”Psalm 139:14
